Patriot Act

When you open an account with us, we’re required to ask for certain information. We just need to be sure you are you.

On September 11, 2001, our lives changed forever when our country was attacked. In an effort to protect you, our country and to help fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, President Bush signed the USA Patriot Act into law on October 26, 2001.

Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

When you open an account, we will ask for your:

  • Name
  • Residential (physical) and mailing address
  • Taxpayer identification number
  • Date of birth
  • And other information that will allow us to identify you

We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.

We proudly support all efforts to protect and maintain the security of our customers and our country.
